AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS,LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 1618 THOMPSON
AVENUE,FROM C-2, OPEN DISPLAY COMMERCIAL, TO I-1,LIMITED
INDUSTRIAL.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission and upon
due notice and publication, pursuant to zoning regulations adopted by Zoning Ordinance
1988, as amended, a public hearing was held on May 28, 2014 and the City of West
Memphis Planning Commission has approved and recommended the application be
approved to rezone the following described property from C-2, Open Display
Commercial, to I-1, Limited Industrial:
Common Address: Approximately 1618 Thompson Avenue
Legal Description: Crisp Real Estate Subdivision, being all that part of the
East 38.5 feet of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of the J. H. Stuart
Estate recorded in Plat Book 1 at Page 146 and Plat
Book 1 at Page 210 which lies North of Thompson
Avenue and Lots 3 and 4 of the V. L. Hill Subdivision
recorded in Plat Book 4,Page 408, City of West
Memphis, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis approved said
petition and recommends that said rezoning be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the following property now Zoned C-2, Open Display
Commercial, be and the same, is hereby rezoned to I-1, Limited Industrial:
Common Address: Approximately 1618 Thompson Avenue
Legal Description: Crisp Real Estate Subdivision,being all that part of the
East 38.5 feet of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of the J. H. Stuart
Estate recorded in Plat Book 1 at Page 146 and Plat
Book 1 at Page 210 which lies North of Thompson
Avenue and Lots 3 and 4 of the V. L. Hill Subdivision
recorded in Plat Book 4,Page 408, City of West
Memphis, Arkansas.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
