AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE LOTS 29 T~?ROUGH 45 HULBERT
SUBDIVISION - BOND SURVEY OF IRREGULAR LOTS,(COP^Il`~ION
ADDRESS BEING : 401 TT-?ROUGT= 517 RAWER RD . , 400
THROUGH 500 CANNON AVE., 401 TT-?ROUGH 501 CANNON
AVE.); AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning
Commission to rezone the hereinafter described property
from I-2 General Industrial to R-1 Single Family Residential
District, and after notice having been published for the
time and in the manner as provided by Ordinance No. 1258,
the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission, and
the Planning Commission recommended that said property be
rezoned R-1 Single Family Residential District; NOW, THERE-
FORE ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:

SECTION I: That the following described property, to
Lots 29 through 45 Hulbert Subdivision - Bond
Survey of Irregular Lots; common address being,
401 through 517 Rainer Rd., 400 through 500
Cannon Ave., 401 through 501 Cannon Ave., West
Memphis, Arkansas.
be, and the same is hereby, rezoned R-1 Single Family Resi-
dential District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: It is found and determined by the City
Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that this
property is in the process of further development and the
immediate passage of this ordinance is necessary for the
further development of said property; the passage hereof is
necessary for the growth and expansion of West Memphis,
Arkansas, and that the passage hereof is in the interest of
the public health, peace, safety and welfare of the City of
West Memphis and the inhabitants thereof. Therefore, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordin~t~seet="'

shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its
passage and approval.
