AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE THE WEST 505 FEET OF LOT 11,
BLOCK 14, 2ND RICH EASTERN ADDITION, WEST M~VVIPHIS,
ARKANSAS, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning
Commission to rezone the hereinafter described property and
after notice having been published for the time and in the
manner as provided by Ordinance No. 1258 the matter was heard
by the City Planning Commission and the Planning Commission
recommended, that said application be granted; N(7VV THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property, to wit:
The west 505 feet of Lot 11, Block 14, 2nd Rich
Eastern Addition, West Memphis, Arkansas, being
designated as 2681-2701 Interstate No. 55, West
Memphis, Arkansas.
be and the same is hereby rezoned to C-2 Open Display
Commercial District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It is found and declared
by the City Council that this property is in the process of
development and that this ordinance is necessary for the
orderly growth and expansion of the City of West Memphis and
for the protection of the safety and welfare of the
inhabitants of the City of West Memphis; therefore, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
