2362 ORDINANCE NO. oZ 34
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 500 WEST BROADWAY, ALLOWING A CLIMATE CONTROLLED
STORAGE FACILITY IN A C-1, COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Planning Commission, on March 26,
2014, for a Special Use Permit to allow a climate controlled storage facility, in a C-1,
Commercial District, as required by Ordinance No. 1988, as amended.
WHEREAS, after notice had been published for the time and in the manner as provided
by Ordinance No. 1988, as amended, the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission on
Wednesday, March 26, 2014 and the Planning Commission recommended a Special Use Permit
be granted to allow a climate controlled storage facility at 500 West Broadway, located in a C-1,
Commercial District, with the following criteria:
1. No outside storage or display.
2. The loading dock at rear of the building must be used for all loading and unloading.
3. Repair pot holes in the southern most driveway on Avalon.
4. Repair drainage issues in rear of the building and at loading docks.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: The following described property, to wit:
500 West Broadway
West Memphis, Arkansas
and the same hereby is granted a Special Use Permit allowing a climate controlled storage
facility at 500 West Broadway, located in a C-1, Commercial District, with the following
criteria:
1. No outside storage or display.
2. The loading dock at rear of the building must be used for all loading and unloading.
3. Repair pot holes in the southern most driveway on Avalon.
4. Repair and properly maintain drainage issues in rear of the building and at loading docks.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
