ORDINANCE N0. 1133
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 672
OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS,
BY AMENDING SECTIONS THREE (3) AND FOUR (4),
OF SAID ORDINANCE TO COMPLY WITH ACT N0. 844,
OF THE 1983 ACTS OF ARKANSAS, INCREASING THE
MIXED DRINKS TAX TO SIX PER CENTUM (6%) OF
THE GROSS PROCEEDS OR GROSS RECEIPTS OF
MIXED DRINKS SOLD IN THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS, DECLARING AN EA4ERGENCY AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE. Section Three (3) of Ordinance No. 672
is amended to read as follows:
"That pursuant to Act No. 844 of the 1983 Acts of
Arkansas, there is hereby levied a supplemental
tax of Six Percentum (6%) upon the gross proceeds
or gross receipts of such associations and/or
corporations as are mentioned in Section 1, hereof,
from the charges to members for the preparation
of and serving. of such mixed drinks or for the
cooling and serving of such beer and wine, pursuant
to Act No. 844 of the 1983 Acts of Arkansas."
SECTION TWO. Section Four (4) of Ordinance No. 672
is amended to read as follows:
"Said supplemental tax shall be reported and paid to
the Clerk of the City of West Memphis pursuant to
Act No. 844 of the 1983 Acts of Arkansas."
SECTION THREE. All Ordinances or Parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
