ORDINANCE NO. 1134
AN ORDINANCE TO REDESIGNATE DOVER ROAD AND
DOVER ROAD EXTENDED TO GLEN BAILEY DRIVE
WHEREAS, many citizens of West Memphis, Arkansas, have
signed a Resolution requesting the West Memphis City Council
to redesignate Dover Road and Dover Road Extended to become
~" Glen Bailey Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis
realizes the contributions that the late Glen Bailey made
to law enforcement in Crittenden County; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, is happy to cooperate in this memorial to a fine
State Trooper;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Dover Road and Dover Road Extended in
the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, be redesignated Glen Bailey
Drive;
SECTION 2. That the West Memphis Street Department take
whatever action is necessary to see that Dover Road and
Dover Road Extended be renamed Glen Bailey Drive and give
notices to all parties concerned;
SECTION 3. That a copy of this Ordinance with the
Resolution be sent to the Widow of Glen Bailey, who is
Mrs. Shan W. Bailey, 811 Dover Road, West Memphis, Arkansas,
72301.
