ORDINANCE N0. 1138
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION ONE (1) OF ORDINANCE N0. 1134,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE. Section One (1) of Ordinance No. 1134
is amended as follows:
"DOVER ROAD EXTENDED from NORTH MISSOURI STREET,
East to NORTH SEVENTH STREET shall be renamed to
GLEN BAILEY DRIVE. DOVER ROAD from CLEMENT ROAD to
NORTH MISSOURI STREET shall remain as DOVER ROAD".
SECTION TWO. It having been determined by the City
Council of the City of West Memphis that since Ordinance
No. 1134 was passed that there have been some legal matters
involved and dissatisfaction among some residents living
along DOVER ROAD, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this Ordinance being necessary for the Public Peace,
Safety, Welfare and Morale of the Citizens of West Memphis,
Arkansas, shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and approval.
