AN ORDINANCE TO WAIVE COMPETITIVE BIDDING,
ESTABLISfIING AN EbIERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Arkansas Statute 19-4425 allows waiving of
competitive bidding in exceptional situations where such
procedure is deemed not feasible or practical; and,
WI~EREAS, there are many items necessary for•the City's
use where competitive bidding is deemed not feasible or
practical;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDr1INED I3Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST ME;dPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That competitive bidding be waived for the folloVving
item (s) to be used by the City, described as follows:
To resurface taxiways at~the West Memphis, Arkansas,
Airport in an amount not to exceed .............,....$60,000.00
BITUMINOUS ASPHALT SEALING SPECIALISTS -TO BE AWARDED CONTRACT

2. Emergency Clause. It having been found and determined
by the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that ,
