SECTION 5 AND SECTION 6. DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND p ~
FOR OTHER PURPOSES. ~ Z
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS

SCTION a. Section 4 of Ordinance PJo. 1014 is hereby amended to re a
as follows; The charges for the ambulance service operated by the West
Memphis Fire Department will be as follows:
a. Emergency transport within the City of
West Memphis to Crittenden Memorial $100.00
b. Emergency Transport to a hospital other
than Crittenden Memorial $100.00 plus
$ 1.50 per mile
c. Emergency transport from a location
outside the City of West Memphis. $100.00 plus
$ 1.50 per mile
d. First Aid Supplies $ 15.00
e. Oxygen $ 20.00
f. OB Services $ 25.00
g. Cardiac Arrest $ 50.00
,„ECTION 2. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1.014 is hereby amended to read
as follows: Subsection a. Where~a call for an ambulance is made to a
location. within the City of West Memphis and the call is cancelled upon
arrival at the location by the ambulance, the charge will be $50.00.
SECTION 3. Section 6 of Ordinance 1014 is hereby amended to read as
follows: It shall be the responsibility of the Fire Department of the
City of West Memphis to bill the individual or the person responsible
for the individual , using the service for the charge(s), and failure to
pay for the charge(s) within thirty(30) days afi:.er service the account will
be delinquent. If the person using the ambulance service has insurance
coverage for the ambulance service, the Fire department will assist
in filing the claim with the insurance company. The Fire Department
will have the services of Data Processing for billing and other purposes.
' ECTION 4. EMERGENCY CLAUSE It being found and determined by the City
1~ ,ouncil of the City of 'n'est ;emphis, Arkansas, that there is urgent neeu
~rr+~o change fee structures and billing procedures, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the public
peace, safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City of West
Memphis, Arkansas shall be in full force and effect upon i s passage
and approval.
