A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS AND OTHER ARKANSAS CITIES TO COMBINE
RESOURCES TO CONDUCT AN ANALYSIS OF IMPEDIMENTS TO
FAIR HOUSING CHOICE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the cities of West Memphis, Bentonville, Conway, Fort Smith, North Little
Rock, Fayetteville, and Jacksonville have proposed to enter into an agreement to provide
financial support for the procurement and completion of Analysis of Impediments to Fair
Housing Choice (AI) for their respective cities; and
WHEREAS, the cities will collectively contract with J-Quad Planning Group, LLC, to
conduct the AI for the respective cities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of West Memphis finds that it is in the best interests of the
City of West Memphis to enter into the Arkansas HUD Entitlement Cities Consortium and the
agreement should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT the agreement to enter into the Arkansas
HUD Entitlement Cities Consortium is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City of West Memphis.
