A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT
514 AUBURN FROM THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS
TO THE GOOD NEIGHBOR CENTER FOR USE IN
THE HOPE-3 PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE
DEEDS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, A.C.A. Section 14-54-302 authorizes municipalities to buy real property
upon authorization by written resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Bank of New York Mellon, fka the Bank of New York, as successor in
interest to JP Morgan Chase Bank NA, as Trustee for GSMPS Mortgage Loan Trust
2003-2, has real property located at 514 Auburn Street, West Memphis, Arkansas, which
it has donated to the City of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis desires to transfer such real property to the Good
Neighbor Center to be utilized as part of the HOPE-3 Program and to be transferred
pursuant to the guidelines of the HOPE-3 Program to qualified recipients;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
The transfer by the City of West Memphis of the real property located at 514 Auburn
Street, West Memphis, Arkansas, to the Good Neighbor Center to be utilized as part of
the HOPE-3 Program, is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the deeds or other appropriate instruments to transfer
title from the City of West Memphis to the Good Neighbor Center and to take any and all
actions necessary to accomplish such transfers.
