AN ORDINANCE TO S'~AIVE COJ~PETITIVE BIDDING,
ESTABLISfIING AN EbIERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
~VHEREAS, Arkansas Statute 19-4425 allows waiving of
competitive bidding in exceptional situations where such
procedure is deemed not feasible or practical; and,
W1iEREAS, there are many items necessary for the City's
use where competitive bidding is deemed not feasible or
practical;
NOSY, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAI;ILD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST ;dE,.1PHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That competitive bidding be waived for th'e following
item (s) to be used by the City, described as follows:
Law Enforcement Officers' Comprehensive Liability Insurance Policy
with the National Sheriff's Association, Suite 320, 1250 Connecticut
Avenue, Washington D. C.
in the amount of .$10,445.20
2. Erner;ency Clause. It having been found and determined
by the City Council of the City of ~S'est ?Memphis, Arkansas, that ,
there is an urgent nzed by the City of ~9est b:emphis for the item (s)
described above, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and
this Grdinance.bei.ng necessary for the preservation of the
