AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 1033 OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CODE OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, BY AMENDING SECTION 8.2 OF THE
ZONING CODE, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I. Section 8.2 of the Zoning Code of the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, as adopted by Ordinance
No. 1033 is hereby amended to provide that Rooming and/or
Boarding Houses be a Permitted Use in the "B-2 Business

r y, SECTION II. All Ordinances or Parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. EMERGENCY CLAUSE. It is found and
declared by the City Council that this Section of the
Zoning Code needs to be changed to permit the orderly
development and use of certain lands in the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas, and for the protection and health
of its citizens, and, this Ordinance being necessary for
the safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas; an emergency is hereby declared to
exist; and, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval. ,~
