AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH COMPENSATION FOR CITY CLERK
FOR THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANNAS:

SECTION 1. Effective January 1, 1985 the compensation for the City
Clerk of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas shall be six thousand dollars
($6,000) annually, with no car allowance.
SECTION 2. All Ordinances and Resolutions or Parts of Ordinances
and Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Emergency Clause. It having been determined by the
City Council of the City of West Memphis that due to the cost price
index that an increase in salary is urgent, therefore, an emergency is
declared and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of
peace, safety, and health of the citizens of West Memphis, Arkansas
cha11 he effective on its passage and approval.
