SECTTQN 1. Effective aanuary 1, 1985, the salary of the Mayor
of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, sha11 6e twenty five thousand

SECT~QN 2. All Qrdinances and Resolutions or Rarts of QrdTnance
and Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
SECTTQN 3~ Emergency Clause. I~t having been determined by the

City Council of the City of West Memphis that due to the cost price
index that an increase in salary is urgent, therefore, an emergency
is declared and this ordinance being necessary for the preserYati~on of
peace, safety, and health pf the citizens oi' West Memphis, Arkansas shall
be effective on its passage and approval,
