ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE LOTS 7, 8, 9, 10 AND 11 IN BLOCK 11;
LOTS 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 AND 12 IN BLOCK 12; AND LOTS
3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11 AND 12 IN BLOCK 13 OF M. L. THOMPSON'S
SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF WEST MEb1PHIS, ARKANSAS.

WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Com-
mission to rezone the hereinafter described property, and after
notice having been published for the time and in the manner as
provided by Ordinance No. 715, the Planning Commission declined
to hear the a~p]~icata.on and entered a resolution that the appli-
cation be not heard, and therefore denied the request of .the
petitioner; but the City Council finds that said application
should have been considered and granted; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property located
in the city of West Memphis, Crittenden County, Arkansas, to wit:
Lots 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 in Block 11; Lots
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 in Block
12; and Lots 3, 4, 5, 6,; 8, 9, 11 and 12 in
Block 13 of M. L. Thompson's Subdivision in
the city of West Memphis, Arkansas,
be, and the same is hereby, rezoned as M-1 Limited Industrial
District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances,
specifically Ordinance No. 715, in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION III: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It is hereby ascertained
and declared to be a fact that the property above described is
partially developed and there is need for additional development;
that the passage of this Ordinance is in the interest of the public
peace, health, safety and welfare of the citizens of West Memphis;
therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
ADOPTED this 19th day of April, 1979.
