AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 994,
DATED, JANUARY 31, 1980, PERTAINING
TO THE PERSONNEL COMMITTEE, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST

MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SFrTTnN 1. Ordinance No. 994, Section 2, Personnel Committee,
is amended to read as follows:
"That the five (5) employee members of the Personnel Committee
shall be elected on the First Monday in December by their fellow
employees for a one (1) year term from January 1 through December 31,
and that the five (5) employee members shall be elected from the
following departments:
Police Department 1 member
Fire Department 1 member
Public Works 1 member ,
Utility Department 1 member
All Other Departments 1 member."

SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 9g4, Section 4, is amended as follows:
"That the Mayor shall be the Chairman of the Personnel Committee
and a Vice-Chairman and Recording Secretary shall be elected from
the existing group at the First Regular Meeting in ~7anuary."
SECTION ~. Ordinance No. 994 is amended further by adding
SECTION 9 to read as follows:
"A recall election will be required upon submission of a
petition by thirty per cent (30%) of the employees in that
Department."
