AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE
ANGLE PARKING ON BROADWAY STREET,
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS,
FROM RICH ROAD TO CLUB ROAD,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Definition of Angle Parking.--Angle Lines
for parking marked by the Arkansas Highway Department on
Broadway Street, West Memphis, Arkansas.
SECTION 2.
Purpose. The purpose of this Ordinance is
to regulate angle parking on Broadway Street, West Memphis,
Arkansas, from Rich Road to Club Road.
SECTION 3. All vehicles parked on Broadway Street
from Rich Road to Club Road are required to be parked in the
angle spaces when marked with white lines by the Arkansas
F; Highway Department.
~"` SECTION 4. Whenever any ver.icle is found to be in violation
of this Ordinance, the Officer shall take the registration number
and affix a Traffic Citation on a form provided by the Traffic
Division and leave a copy of the Citation attached to the
vehicle or give personally to the operator. The Citation may
be satisfied by mailing or carrying to the Traffic Division,
Police Department, City of West Memphis, Arkansas, Four and No/100ths
Dollars ($4.00).
SECTION 5. Any person who violates the provisions of
this Ordinance shall be guilty of a Violation as provided above.
SECTION b. Upon the failure of the offender to respond

within ten (10) days from the date of the Traffic Citation, the
Officer issuing the Traffic Citation shall issue a summons requiring
the offender to appear in Court and punished according to law.

SECTION 7. Proof that the vehicle was improperly
parked and the Defendant the registered owner shall constitute
a prima facie presumption that the registered owner was in
violation of this Ordinance.
SECTION 8. It shall be the responsibility of the
Police Department to see that the provisions of this Ordinance

are enforced.
SECTION 9. Repealing Clause. Al1~Ordinances or Parts
of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
