A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS AUTHORIZING
THE ISSUANCE OF A VISA CORPORATE CREDIT CARD IN THE
NAME OF KENNETH JOHNSON AS PURCHASING AGENT FOR THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has previously authorized the issuance of VISA
corporate credit cards through Fidelity National Bank in West Memphis, Arkansas. in specific
names and with specific purchasing limitations, including one in the name of Renita Rash,
Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, Renita Rash has retired and Kenneth Johnson has been hired as the new
Purchasing Agent for the City of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary to cancel the VISA corporate credit card issued in the
name of Renita Rash and to have a new VISA corporate credit card issued in the name of
Kenneth Johnson with the same purchasing limitation of$10,000.00;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of West Memphis,Arkansas, hereby authorizes
the City of West Memphis to cancel the VISA corporate credit card issued in the name of Renita
Rash, Purchasing Agent, and to obtain a new VISA corporate credit card through Fidelity
National Bank in West Memphis, Arkansas, in the name of Kenneth Johnson with the purchasing
limitation of Ten Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($10,000.00). Said VISA corporate credit card
to be used for the purposes of making hotel reservations and making purchases consistent with
the business purposes of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, only.
Section 2. The City of West Memphis hereby approves the credit application attached
hereto and authorizes the payment of this VISA corporate credit card issued through Fidelity
National Bank of West Memphis.Arkansas, in accordance with the terms and conditions
applicable to such accounts.
Section 3. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to take any
and all further actions as may be necessary, appropriate or advisable to implement this resolution.
