ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, INCORPORATING SUCH TERRITORY
INTO WARD 4 OF SUCH CITY
WHEREAS, Southland Racing Corporation, the owner of the lands
herein described, instituted proceedings in the County Court of
Crittenden County, Arkansas, for the annexation of certain territory
as described below to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, and the
County Court of Crittenden County, Arkansas, has entered its final
order approving and confirming the annexation of such territory
and it is necessary and proper that the City accept such territory
to complete the annexation and make the hereinafter described territory
a part of the City of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, it is also proper that the territory annexed and
accepted be made a part of Ward 4 of the City of West Memphis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the territory hereinafter described be, and
it is hereby accepted as part of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
to-wit:
48.5 acre tract of land being the N 1/2 N 1/2 SW 1/4
of Section 5; all that part of the NE 1/4 SW 1/4 of
Section 5 South of the Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-
way, and that part of the SE 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 5 South
of the Missouri-Pacific Railroad right-of-way, T-6-N, R-9-E,
Crittenden County, Arkansas, and being more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the South 1/4 corner of said Section 5, thence
North a distance of 990.0 feet to the point of beginning, thence
continue North a distance of 1036.46 feet, thence North 00 degrees
03 minutes 05 seconds West a distar.~ce of 251.9 feet to its inter-
section with the South right-of-way line of the Missouri-Pacific
Railroad, thence North 65 degrees 25 minutes 26 seconds Nest
along said South right-of-way a distance of 1454.35 feet, thence
South a distance of 1903.23 feet, thence North 89 degrees 34
minutes a distance of 1322.87 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 48.5 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. That the territory hereinabove described be, and it

Memphis, and shall forthwith be considered and become a part thereof.
SECTION 3. That the territory hereinabove described be,
and it is hereby, zoned as Intensive Industrial Zone (M-2).

I, Dan Craft, the duly elected, qualified and acting City
Clerk of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, do hereby certify
that the above and foregoing is a true, complete and correct copy
of Ordinance No. 1035 passed by the City Council of the City
of West Memphis, Arkansas, and duly approved by the Mayor thereof
on the 20th day of November, 1980, which Ordinance is entitled
"Ordinance Accepting Territory Annexed to the City of West Memphis,
Incorporating Such Territory Into Ward 4 of Such City" as the same
appears in the official records of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand as City
Clerk of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, and affix the
official seal of said City on this 20 day of November, 1980.
