ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~ (~
AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A SIX-ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE
NE 1/4 NE 1/4 of SECTION 14, TOTnIN5HIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 8
EAST, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Planning Commission
for rezoning lands as provided by Ordirsance No. ~'of the city
of West Memphis, Arkansas; and ~ ~
WHEREAS, notice was duly published that a hearing would
be held by the Planning Commission and calling upon interested
persons to appear at such hearing and make known their
objections, if any, in connection with said petition for
rezoning of the property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, at the meeting held by the Planning Commission
on September 24, 1980, no persons appeared to offer a protest
against the rezoning of said property and the Planning Com-
mission recommends to the City Council that said petition be
granted: NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LaEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property located
in the city of West Memphis, Arkansas, to wit:
Beginning at a point on the south right-of-way line of
U. S. Highway 70 that is 40 feet west of the point of
intersection of the east line of Section 14, Township
6 North, Range 8 East, and the south right-of-way line
of U. S. Highway 70, thence south on a line parallel
to the east line of Section 14 a distance of 437 feet,
thence south 88 degrees 4 minutes west 425 feet, thence
north 69 degrees 37 minutes west 202.65 feet, thence
north 360 feet to a point on the south right-of-way
line of U. S. Highway 70, thence north 88 degrees 4
minutes east 610 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 6 acres, more or less, in the NE 1/4 NE 1/4
of Section 14, Township 6 North, Range 8 East,
be, and the same is hereby, rezoned as RM-3, Multiple Family
Residence District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
