AN ORD INANCE ACCEPT ING TERR ITORY
ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS, INCORPORATING SUCH TERRITORY
INTO WARD FOUR AND DESIGNATED LL~~ZITED
INDUSTRIAL AND ZONED M-l, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, A. J. Thomas and Maggie Sue Goodwin, the owners
of the lands herein described, instituted proceedings in the
County Court of Crittenden County, Arkansas, for the annexation
of certain territory as described below to the City of
West 1`~Iemphis, Arkansas, and the County Court of Crittenden County,
Arkansas, has entered its final Order approving and confirming
the annexation of such territory and it is necessary and proper
that the City accept such territory to complete the annexation
and make the hereinafter described territory a part of the City
of WestMemphis; and,
WHEREAS, it is also proper that the territory annexed and
accepted be made a part of !hard Four (4 ), and it should be
.zoned Limited Industrial and that the Zoning Classification
A.!I-1 be designated for it;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST P.2E2.ZPHIS, ARKANSAS:
r SECTION 1. That the territory hereinafter described be
and it is hereby accepted as part of the City of West R:~Iemphis,
Arkansas, to wit:
"A tract of land located in Section Five (5 ),
Township Six (6) North, Range Nine (9) East,
Crittenden County, Arkansas, more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the existing City Limits
said point being the Southwest Corner of the
Southeast Quarter of Section Five (5 ),
Township Six (6) North, Range Nine (9) East;
thence, North along the West Line of the
Southeast Quarter of Section Five (5 ),
Township Six (6) North, Range Nine (9) East,
to a point on the South Right-of -Way Line of the
Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence southeasterly
along the South Right-of -Way Line of the
",.4issouri Pacific Railroad to a point with the
intersection of the center line of the Ten ]Viile Bayou;
thence, southwesterly along the center line of
Ten lJlile Bayou to a point on the South Line of
Section Five (5 ), Township Six (6) North,
Range Nine (9) East; thence westerly along
said South Line of Section Five (5 ),
Township Six (6) North, Range Nine (9) East,
to the point of beginning."

SECTION 2. That the territory hereinabove described
be, and it is hereby attached to and incorporated in Ward Four (4 ),
of the City of West ?~~emphis, Arkansas, and is zoned Lim ited
Industrial and that the Zoning Classification is designated IVI-l.
SECTION 3. All Ordinances or Parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
