ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE LOT 12 IN BLOCK 14 OF THE M. L. THOMPSON
SUBDIVISION, WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES:
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission
to rezone the hereinafter described property and after notice having
been published for the time and in the manner as provided by Ordinance
the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission and no persons
appearing to protest the same the Planning Commission recommended
that said application be granted: NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property, to wit:
Lot 12 in Block 14 of the M. L. Thompson Subdivision in the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, being designated as 210
North 13th Street, West Memphis, Arkansas,
be and the same is hereby rezoned B-2 General Business District.
SECTION II; That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It is found and determined by
the City Council that this property is in the process of development
and the immediate passage of this ordinance is necessary for the
orderly development of said property; and the passage hereof is
necessary for the growth and expansion of West Memphis and that the
passage hereof is in the interest of the public health, peace, safety
and welfare of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas and the inhabitants
thereof. Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon
the passage and approval.
