AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE ALDERMEN AND MEMBERS OF THE
CITY COUNCIL TO PURCHASE SERVICES FROM MARCO McCLENDON
DOING BUSINESS AS MARCO McCLENDON VISION, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, State Statute 14-42-107 states that in order for Aldermen or Members of the
City Council to conduct business with the City, that it is necessary that an Ordinance be passed
by the Governing Body, specifically, permitting Aldermen and Members of the City Council to
conduct business with the City and prescribing the extent of such authority; and
WHEREAS, Alderman Marco McClendon, doing business as Marco McClendon Vision,
proposes to contract and promote events which may be sponsored, in part, through the West
Memphis Advertising and Promotion Commission;
THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That authorization be given for the City of West Memphis, Arkansas to be
furnished services by Marco McClendon doing business as Marco McClendon Vision.
