ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A TRACT CONTAINING 3. 8
ACRES IN THE SW4 OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH,
RANGE 8 EAST, BEIlVG ALSO KNOWN AS THE 500 BLOCK
OF WEST OLIVER STREET, WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission
to rezone the hereinafter described property and after notice having been
published for the time and in the manner as provided by Ordinance No. 715
the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission and no persons
appearing to protest the same the Planning Commission recommended that
said application be granted: NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS;
SECTION I: That the following described property, to wit:
A tract of land located south of Block 2 of Lehr Heights
Addition as shown by plat of record in Plat Book 2, page
319, described as follows: Commencing at the southeast
corner of said Block 2, Lehr Heights Addition, run thence
south along the west right of way line of Pearce Street, a
distance of 240 feet to the northeast corner of the property
owned by Hulbert-West Memphis Special School District
No. 4 of Crittenden County, Arkansas, as described in
Warranty Deed recorded in Book 327 at page 366; run
thence south 88 degrees 53 minutes west along the north
line of the school property a distance of 681. 8 feet to a
point; thence North 240 feet to a point; thence North 88
degrees 53 minutes East along the south line of said Block
2 a distance of 681. 8 feet to the point of beginning, con-
taining 3. 8 acres, more or less, being also known as the
500 Block of West Oliver Street, West Memphis, Arkansas,
be and the same is hereby rezoned RS-10, Single Family Residence District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
