• Bids were discussed for a back-yard digger derrick. Commission approved
purchase of a Altec model # DB37 at a cost of$138,025.00 (3 bids received)
• Commission discussed replacement of lighting along the interstate. The Bid was
approved for Anixter Power to purchase 100 LED light fixtures with tilt heads and
a 10-year warranty at a cost of$617.36 ea. (6 bids received) (bid range had a
high of$653.00 ea. and a low of$617.36 ea.).
The project ETA is April 1, 2017
• Commission discussed replacement of lighting for overpass and on & off ramp.
Commission approved purchase of 110 LED roadway light fixtures with Cobra
heads and a 10-year warranty at a cost of$350.00 ea. (6 bids received) (bid
range had a high of$653.00 ea. and a low of$350.00 ea.)
The project ETA is April 1, 2017
• The current budget for the Utility Commission was revised under the proposed
column from $193,000.00 to $694,095.00 due to the air quality requirements at
the White Bluff Plant and the Independence Plant with a price of$60MM; the
revision was approved by the Commission.
• The Utility Commission discussed eliminating credit card payments by phone due
to liabilities dealing with the Privacy Act. An existing online credit card payment
function, which is already available, is being offered as an alternative.
This will be permanently decided on by May 1st
