AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE 2500 - 4201 MOUND CITY ROAD, A 500 ACRE
PARCEL OF LAND IN THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, CRITTENDEN COUNTY,
ARKANSAS, FROM R-1, SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, TO PLANNED UNIT
DEVELOPMENT.
WEAREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission to rezone the
hereinafter described property, and after notice having been published for the time and in
the manner as providedby Ordinance 1258, as amended, the matter was heard by the City
Planning Commission, and the Planning Commission recommended that the application be
approved and the City Council finds that such applicaiton should be granted.
NOW, THEREFOURE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITYOF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property located in the City of West
Memphis, Crittenden County, Arkansas, to wit:
250(1- 4201 Mound City Road, Also known as:
Real property lying and being situated in Crittenden County,
Arkansas, more particularly described as: All that part of lands lying
in Spanish Grant 2290, and all that part of the Fractional Southeast Quarter of
Section 33, and of Fractional Section 34, in Township 6 North, Range 9 East, which
is known collectively as "Parcel l of May Estate Partition" described in deed
of record in Book 696 Page 521, specifically excluding the lands underlying
the St. Francis Levee District right-of--way and the Burlington Northern
Railroad right-of--way, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the North line of Spanish 2290, T-7-N, R-9-E,
which is South 85*23'14" West 1924.53 feet from the Northeast corner of
the may Estate; thence South 5479.95 feet to a point on the South line of
Section 33, T-7-N, R-9-E; Thence South 89*50'S5" East 543.33 feet along
said south line of Section 33 to the corner of Sections 33 & 34, T-7-N, R-
9-E, and Section 3 & 4, T-6-N, R 9-E; thence South along the West line of
Section 3 a distancee of 1527.84 feet to a point on the North line of the
Burlington Northern Railroad (SL & SF railroad); thence South 54*51'S1"
East along said railroad North right-Of--way line a distance of 4873.96 feet
to a point on the St. Francis Levee District right-of--way the following
bearings and distances: North 12*43'S5" West 1240.20 feet, North
15*48'49" West 840.20 feet, North59*51'36" West 422.75 feet, North
17*48'24" West 3292.50 feet, North 12*53'24" West 114.55 feet, North
14*11'41" West 164.83 feet, North 09*Ol'38" West 286.58 feet, North
O1*40'S8" West 571..12 feet, North 13*50'S3" West 184.92 feet to a point
on the South line of the Waggoner Estate property; thence south 70*31'46"
West 118.21 feet along said property line to a point; thence North
07*28'35" West 3270.0 feet along said property line to a point; thence
South 85*23'14" West a distance of 1924.53 feet to the Point of
Beginning, containing 500 acres more or less.
