ORDINANCE N0. 87~
AN ORDINANCE TO RE-APPOINT LEO CHITMAN TO AN
UNEXPIRED TERM ON THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Mr. Leo Chitman is hereby re-appointed to the
West Memphis Civil Service Commission to fulfill his original
appointment to expire on the first Monday in April, after the fourth
(nth) year of service on said Civil Service Commission, being the
first Monday in April, 1980.
Section 2. Emer~encY Clause. It being found and determined
by the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas that the
work of the Civil Service Commission is increasing and that there
is need for all five (5) members to function properly, an emergency
is declared to exist and this Ordinance being necessary for the
preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the
citizens of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, shall be in full
force and effect from and after its approval.
