BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Section II of Ordinance Tdo. 372 is amended to
read as follows:
"TYiat it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to own, operate, conduct, or carry on a dance house business within
the following area, to wit:
Any area withir: three hundred (300) feet of right of way of the
following streets:
Broadway Avenue, sometimes known as U. S. Highway #~0, and
extending from the West City Limits of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, to the East City Limits of West Memphis, Arkansas;
Missouri Avenue, sometimes ILnown as U. S. Highway #61, to the
north City Limits;
Woods Street;
Avalon Street; including but not limited to tYiat portion wrich
is sometimes known as ITulbert Road;
Walker Avenue;
provided none of the prohibition aga.i.nst dancing shall apply to such
dance house business licensed by the State of Arkansas as private
clubs to sell mixed drinks, and provided ft.zrther, that no dance
house shall be located. in any area wi.tl~iin the City Limits of
West Memphis, Arkansas, zoned as r.esidenti.al.

A further condition to operate a dance house sha11 be that
adequate parking facilities be provided for al.l patrons.
