AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND
IN THE SOUTHEAST 1~~+ OF SECTION 9
TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 9 EAST
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission
to rezone the property described below and after notice having been
published for the time and in the manner as provided by Ordinance No. 715,
the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission and the Planning
Commission recommended that said application be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TiI~; CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property, to wit:
That part of the SE-,~- of Section 9, Township 6 North, Range
9 East, described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Section 9, run thence
North along the east line of Section g a distance of 125.3
feet to the north right-of-way line of U. S. Highway 70,
thence west along said right-of-way line 1,155.x+ feet to the
southeast corner of the Esso property, thence north along the
east line of said Esso property 300 feet to the northeast
corner of the Esso property, said northeast corner being the
point of beginning, thence continue north along the east line
extended of the Esso property 300 feet, thence North 66 degrees
28 minutes 30 seconds west 877.11 feet, thence west 15+.27 feet,
thence South 34 degrees ~+8 minutes west 182.68 feet to the
northeast corner of the Berger property, thence south along
the east line of the Berger property x-00 feet, thence east
x+62.8 feet, thence south 100 feet to the northwest corner
of the Site Oil Company property, thence east 600 feet along
the north line of the Site Oil Company and Esso properties to
the point of beginning.

residence, to M-1, Limited Industrial District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: Emergency Clause: It is found and declared by the City
Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that this ordinance is
necessary for the growth and expansion of the City of West Memphis and
the property in question is in the process of development and such re-
zoning is necessary for such development. Therefore, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required
by law.
