A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
DOCUMENTS TO APPROVE EXPENDITURES FOR THE DELTA REGIONAL RIVER
PARK TRAIL PROJECT,FUNDED BY TWO GRANTS FROM THE ARKANSAS
STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS,the City of West Memphis has been approved to utilize Federal-aid Congestion
Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement(CMAQ) Program funds, authorized by the West
Memphis City Council in Resolution 2093, and Transportation Alternative (TA) Project funds,
authorized by the West Memphis Metropolitian Planning Organization, for the Delta Regional
River Park Trail Project; and
WHEREAS,all costs of the project are to be covered by eighty(80%)by the AHTD grants and
twenty(20%) by the West Memphis Advertising and Promotions Committee;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS, THAT, for purposes of Section 3.08.040 of the West
Memphis Municipal Code, the Delta Regional River Park Trail Project may require expenditures
of said funds in excess of$50,000 and such expenditures are hereby authorized and confirmed by
the City Council.
