ORDINANCE N0. _ ,~,~
WHEREAS, the Arkansas General Assembly has now passed a bill
which provides a provision to exempt CETA employees from Civil
Service Law now pertaining to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the West Memphis City Council
to give CETA employees the same privileges as Civil Service
employees;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T}}E CITY OF
WEST iv1EMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. All CETA employees, employed at West P~?emphis, Arkansas,
shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges now enjoyed by
the }^Jest Memphis Civil Service employees.
2. It is the responsibility of the Personnel Department of
the City of West Memphis, Arkansas to provide procedures to see
that this program is administered.
