ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~ ~°
AN ORDINANCE DISCHARGING THE COMMISSIONERS AND
' _ DISSOLVING CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1
`' OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKAP6 AS .
WHEREAS, Gilbert D. Jay, III, Hugh Chalmers and
Edwin F. Bledsoe, the duly appointed, qualified and acting
Commissioners of Curb and Gutter Improvement District No. 1
of West Memphis, Arkansas, a municipal improvement district
organized in accordance with the statutes of the state of
Arkansas and under ordinances duly passed by this Council,
have reported to the Mayor of the city of West Memphis and
to the members of the City Council of the city of West
Memphis, Arkansas:
1. All improvements contemplated and authorized have
long since been constructed by said District;
2. All bonds issued by the District and interest thereon
have been paid in full, and there are no outstanding debts
owed by the District;
3. No taxes are being collected by the District;
4. No title to lands purchased at foreclosure sale
for delinquent taxes is held by the District;
5. There are some delinquencies, but same represent
a small amount of money and are reflected upon the record
books in the office of the Collector of Crittenden County,
Arkansas;

6. The Chancery Court of Crittenden County, Arkansas,
has entered an order providing that redemptions as to
delinquent taxes shall be paid directly to the city of
West Memphis, Arkansas;
7. Reports reflecting receipts and disbursements as
to all monies paid to and expended by said District have
been filed with the city of West Memphis, Arkansas, and
final settlement has been made, and there are no monies at
this time held by said District.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the city of
West Memphis, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That Gilbert D. Jay, III, Hugh Chalmers
and Edwin F. Bledsoe, each be discharged as Commissioner
of Curb and Gutter Improvement District No. 1 of West
Memphis, Arkansas, and that each of said persons be relieved
of any and all liability by reason of serving as such Com-
missioner;
SECTION 2. Curb and Gutter Improvement District
No. 1 of West Memphis, Arkansas, is hereby dissolved.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effe ct and be
in force from ahnd after irt~s passage.
