ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND IN THE
SE 1/4 OF SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 9 EAST,
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY INTER-
STATE 55, ON THE SOUTHEAST BY INTERSTATE 55 ON THE WEST
BY CLUB ROAD OVERPASS AND ON THE SOUTH BY PROPERTY OF
FOLK CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, SITE OIL COMPANY, AND ESSO
OIL COMPANY
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission
to rezone the hereinafter described property and after notice
having been published for the time and in the manner as provided
by Ordinance N0. 715 the matter was heard by the City; Planning
Commission and no persons appearing to protest the same the
Planning Commission recommended that said application be granted:
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property, to wit:
That part of the SE 1/4 of Section 9, Township
6 North, Range 9 East, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Section 9,
run thence due north along the east line of
Section 9, a distance of 125.3 feet to the north
right of way line of U. S. Highway 70, thence
west along said right of way line a distance of
1155.4 feet to the Southeast corner of the ESSO
property, thence due north along the east line of
~ the ESSO property 35 feet to the point of beginning,
thence northeasterly along the north right of way
line of U. S. Highway 70 Overpass on the arc of a
curve to the left having a radius of 1814.86 feet
a distance of 639.86 feet to a point, thence North
68 degrees 56 minutes east 433.45 feet to a point,
thence North 13 degrees 22 minutes east 65.85 feet
to a point on the south right of way line of Inter-
state Highway I-55, thence North 56 degrees 5
minutes 30 seconds west along said right-of way line
a distance of 730.65 feet to a point, the~.ce North
66 degrees 28 minutes 30 seconds west a distance of
1636.8 feet to a point, thence South 35 degrees 31
minutes west a distance of 411.6 feet along the
east right of way line of Interstate Highway I-55
Overpass to a point, thence South 25 degrees 43
minutes west a distance of 260.8 feet along said
right of way line to a point, thence southwestwardly
along a 6 degree 16 minute curve left a distance of
88 feet to a point on the north property line of
the Berger tract; thence east along the north line
of the Berger tract a distance of 339.5 feet to a
point, thence North 34 degrees 48 minutes east
182.68 feet, thence east 154.27 feet, thence south
66 degrees 28 minutes 30 seconds east 877.11 feet,
thence south 565 feet to the point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby rezoned M-1 Limited Industrial District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
