AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 958, SECTION ONE OF
SAID ORDINANCE, ESTABLISHING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Section One (1) of Ordinance No. 958, dated
March 15, 1979, is amended as follows:
"Section 1." There is hereby established a uniform schedule
for taxi-cab rates in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, which shall
be as follows:
PASSENGERS:
First 3/4 Mile $ .2~ L
Each Additional 1/4 Mile $
Each Additional Passenger $ .25
School Children--Each Additional $ .10
Child (Transporting to and from school)
Waiting Time--Per Minute $ .10
Waiting Time--Per Hour $ 6.00

Section II. The remaining Sections of Ordinance No. 958 are
hereby reaffirmed and left unamenHed.
Section III. Emergency Clause. It being found and determined
that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health, and safety of the inhabitants of the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from its
passage and approval. ~ ,0
