OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 529 of the City of West
Memphis, Arkansas is hereby amended to read as .follows:
"Section 1. There is hereby adopted by the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, for the purpose o.f providing fire prevention and protection in
connection with hazardous materials and processes the American Insurance
Association Fire Prevention Code, 1970 Edition, of which .not less than three
(3) copies have been filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of West
Memphis, the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as :fully as if set
out herein a.nd from the date on which this Ordinance shall take effect,
the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits o:f the City of
West Memphis. "
Section 2. All other provisions contained in Ordinance X29 shall
remain in full force and effect except as herein specifically amended.
Section 3. This Ordinance being necessary .for the safety a.nd
welfare of the inhabitants of the City of West Memphis, a.n emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be i.n .full .force and effect
from and after its passage as provided by law.
