AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.
411 OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS; DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
Section 11 of Ordinance No. 411 of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"11.12 on any such lot or parcel the side yard requirements of this
Ordinance shall not operate to reduce the net buildable width of such lot be-
low 15 feet, provided however, that the application of this exception shall not
be permitted to reduce sub-paragraph 1 any interior side yard below 10% of the
width of the lot, or 5 feet, whichever is greater, or sub-paragraph 2 any ex-
terior side yard below 20% of the width of the lot or 5 feet, whichever is greater.
11.13 on any such lot or parcel no combination of the following require-
ments shall operate to reduce the net buildable depth of such lot below 70 feet:
1. Front and rear yard,
2. Front and/or rear building setback, provided, however,
that the application of this exception shall not be permitted to reduce:
(a) Any front yard below 10% of the depth of the lot, or
(b) Any rear yard below 15% of the depth of the lot, or 10
feet, whichever is greater. "
Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. It being found and determined by the City Council of the City
of West Memphis, Arkansas, that certain modifications need to be made immed-
iately to Ordinance No. 411 of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, in the interest
of the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of West Memphis,

an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval as required by law.
