A RESOLUTION APPROVING One Twelfth (1/12) of the 2018 BUDGET FOR
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, William H. Johnson, the Mayor for the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, submitted
a proposed budget for the year 2018 to the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, on
December 1St, 2017, according to § 14-58-201.
WHEREAS, Mayor Johnson is recommending to the City Council the adoption of One Twelfth
(1/12) of the 2018 Budget for the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, presented as Schedule A of this
Resolution.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, finds that the
recommended adoption of One Twelfth (1/12) of the 2018 Budget for the purpose of funding the
allocations in Schedule A is appropriate and should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS, approves one Twelfth (1/12) of the 2018 Budget for the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
as set out in the attached exhibit, Exhibit A, with the addition of the three percent (3%) increase in
salaries for the pay scales previously approved by the City Council, and this resolution shall be in full
force and effect beginning January 11, 2018.
