AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCES
N0. 4.28, 4.29, AND 4.03, DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. So much of Ordinance No. 4.28, Section 2,
Paragraph 3, that reads :
"any person passing the examination by a score
or grade of seventy per cent (70~)"
is amended to read:
"any person passing the examination by a score
or grade of seventy per cent (7090 or higher"
All other provisions contained in Ordinance No. 4.28
shall remain in full force and effect except as herein specif-
ically amended.
Section 2. So much of Ordinance No. 429, Section 2,
Paragraph 3, that reads:
"any person passing the examination by a score
or grade of seventy per cent ( 70g~) "
is amended to read:
"any person passing the examination by a score
or grade of seventy per cent (70~) or higher"
All other provisions contained in Ordinance No. 4.29
shall remain in full force and effect except as herein speeif-
ically amended.
Section 3. So much of Ordinance No. 4.03, Section 2,
Paragraph 3, that reads
"any person passing the examination by a score
or grade of seventy per cent (70~)"
is amended to read:
"any person passing the examination by a score
or grade of seventy per cent ( 7090 or higher"

shall remain in full force and effect exc®pt as herein specif-
ically amended.
+ir.. Section .. Emerg®ncy Clause . It being found and deter-
mined by the City Council of West Memphis, Arkansas, that up-
dating of the city ordinances for codification purposes is
immediately ne®ded and there are some parts of ordinances out-
of-dat® which should be amended, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
