ORDINANCE N0. ~~
AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE FROM RA TO RS-10 A TRACT
OF LAND LYING IN THE WEST 350 FEET OF THE
SE4 OF SECTION 11, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH,
RANGE 8 EAST, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission to rezone
the hereinafter described property and after notice having been published for
the time and in the manner as provided by Ordinance No. 715 the matter was
heard by the City Planning Commission and no persons appearing to protest the
same the Planning Commission recommended that said application be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property, to wit:
A tract of land lying in the West 350 feet of the SEA of Section
11, Township 6 North, Range 8 East described as follows: Commenc-
ing at the center of Section 11, run thence South 0 degrees 5 minutes
13 seconds west 200.03 feet along the west line of the SE4 of Section
11 to the point of beginning; thence continue south 0 degrees 5
minutes 13 seconds west along the west line of the SEu of Section 11
to the north right of way line of U. S. Highway 70; thence 350 feet ,
in an easterly direction along the north right of way line of U. S.
Highway 70; thence north 0 degrees 5 minutes 13 seconds east on a
line parallel to the west line of the SEu of Section 11 to a point
200 feet south of the north line of the SE,-~ of Section 11; thence
north 88 degrees 55 minutes 30 seconds west 350 feet to the point of
beginning, being the same property as U. S. Highway 70 West, West
Memphis, Arkansas,
be and the same is hereby rezoned RS-10, Single-Family Residence District.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It is found and declared by the City Council
of the City of West Memphis that this ordinance is necessary for the growth and
expansion of the City of West Memphis; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
