AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE ON. 373,
"AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION
AND CONTROL OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC UPON THE
PUBLIC STREETS, THOROUGHFARES, WITHIN THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS; TO DEFINE
AND PROVIDE FOR THE PROSECUTION AND
PUNISHMENT OF OFFENSES IN VIOLATION OF
SUCH REGULATIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES."
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The first sentence of Section III, Ordinance
No. 373, which reads "Chief of Police" is amended to read "City
Engineer".
Section 2. The first sentence of Subsection A, Section III,
Ordinance No. 373, which reads "Chief of Police" is amended to read
"City Engineer".
Section 3. The first sentence of Paragraph 8, Subheading A,
Section III, Ordinance No. 373, which reads "Chief of Police'.' is
amended to read "City Engineer".
Section ~-. The second sentence of Subheading B, Section III,
Ordinance No. 373, which reads "Chief of Police" is amended to read
"City Engineer".
Section 5. Sentence two (2) and sentence four (~-), Subheading C,
Section III, Ordinance No. 373, which read "Chief of Police" are
amended to read "City Engineer".
Section 6. Sentence one (1) and sentence four (~-) of Section VI,
Ordinance No. 373, which read "thief of Police" are amended to read
"City Engineer".
Section 7. Emergency Clause. It being found and determined
by the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that
updating of Ordinance No. 373 is immediately needed and there are

some parts of Ordinance No. 373 which should be amended, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and a'p'proval.
