AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TAXICAB RATES IN
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. There is hereby established a uniform schedule
for taxicab rates in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, which
shall be as follows:

EACH TIME DRIVER LEAVES THE CAB
Section 2. Penalty. Any person,f3.rm, association, or
corporation found guilty of violating any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof, shall be subject to a fine of not less than Ten Dollars
($10.00) nor more than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00).

Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
i Section ~~. Emergency Clause. It having been determined
~~ by the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas that
due to an increase in fuel costs and the need for taxicabs in
the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that this ordinance is
necessary for the health, safety and convenience of the citizens
of West Memphis, Arkansas an .emergency is hereby declared and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage.
