AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION L4-, OF ORDINANCE
N0. 280, ESTABLISHING PLUMBING. INSPECTION FEES,
CREATING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Section ~- of Ordinance No. 280 is hereby amended
to r~,d as follows
"Section ~-. APPLICATIONS, PERMITS.
a. Before beginning any plumbing work in the City of West
Memphis, Arkansas, the person installing same shall apply to the
Plumbing Inspector, or other designated official and obtain a
permit to do such work. Only those persons authorized to do
plumbing may be issued permits.
b. Application for permits shall be made on suitable forms
provided by the Plumbing Inspector. The application shall be
accompanied by fees in accordance with. the following schedule:
Plumbing, Roughing-In Insp ection
Each plumbing fixture and waste
discharging device above four (~-)
fixtures
New or reconstructed sewer
connection
$5.00 up to four (~) fixtures
$2.00 each
$75.00
A final certificate of inspection
$2.50
An additional fee of $2.00 shall be charged for each additional
trip on the part of the Plumbing Inspector, caused by the negligence
of the Plumber."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Emergency Clause. It being found and determined
by the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that the
charge or charges made and set out in this ordinance are necessary
for the preservation of the public peace, health, welfare, and
safety of the citizens of West Memphis, Arkansas, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
