ORDINANCE NO. Z�SJ
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2453 THE COST OF PLAYGROUND
EQUIPMENT AND PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS FOR MATTHEWS PARK,
HICKS PARK AND WORTHINGTON PARK,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2453 approved the waiving of competitive bids for playground
equipment and playground improvements for Matthews Park, Hicks Park and Worthington Park iii the
total amount of$44,000.00; and
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the City's attention that the cost of$44,000.00 for the
equipment and improvements was the cost per park; and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds that Ordinance 2453 should be amended to approve waiving
of competitive bidding for the playground equipment and playground improvements in the total amount
of$132,000.00;
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1: Section 1 of Ordinance 2453 is hereby amended to read as follows:
That competitive bidding be waived for the following item to be used by the City, described as
follows:
Playground equipment and playground improvements provided by Wilco Services, L.L.C., at a
cost of$132,000.00.
