AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 2.51.030 OF THE WEST
MEMPHIS MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING THE SALARY FOR
THE POSITION OF CITY ATTORNEY,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, A.C.A. §14-43-41 0(b)(1)(A)provides that"[b]y proper ordinance, any city
or town may specify pay for the city attorney as the council may desire;" and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to amend the salary for the position of West
Memphis City Attorney;
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS;ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 2.51.030 of the West Memphis Municipal Code is here by
amended to read as follows:
The annual salary for the city attorney is established at one hundred thousand seven
hundred and eighty-five ($100,785.00) dollars.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
