AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 221
OF THE CITY QF WEST MEMPHIS; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 221 of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, be and the same is hereby repealed and abolished.
Section 2. Since clarification must be made regarding the specific
instances in which the fire department of the City of West Memphis shall be
authorized to assist and aid in extinguishing fires beyond the corporate limits
of the City of West Memphis, and Ordinance No. 221 of the City of West
Memphis is determined to be too indefinite and uncertain in its terms, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its adoption, approval and publication as
required by law.
