AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION FOUR OF ORDINANCE
#346 OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS
Section I. Section 4 of Ordinance #346 of the City of West Memphis,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 4. Immediately thereafter a meeting of the Board of Governors
of the Commission shall be held; the length of terms of membership shall be
determined by members drawing lots; officers which shall be a Chairman,
two Vice Chairmen, and a recording Secretary, who shall hold office for one
year, shall be elected. No Chairman shall hold office for more than two suc-
cessive terms. Seven (7) members shall constitute a quorum. "
Section II. All parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith and particularly
Section 4 of Ordinance #346 are hereby repealed.
Section III. It is found and determined by the City Council of the City
of West Memphis, Arkansas, that this Ordinance is immediately necessary
for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of West Memphis, and an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
