RESOLUTION NO. 2
A RESOLL TION TO CHANGE THE WEST MEMPHIS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
FOR THE AREA LOCATED EAST OF AR 147 HWY, NORTH OF INTERSTATE
40 AND SOUTH OF AR 218 HWY FROM RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL, AND
CONSERVATION TO INDUSTRIAL.
WHET LEAS, at the meeting of the West Memphis Planning Commission on May 30, 2018,
the Planning Commission considered and recommended a change in the West Memphis
Comprehensive Plan from Residential, Commercial, and Conservation to Industrial on the
following described lands, and the City Council finds that the recommended change in the
Comprehensive Plan should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST '14EMPHIS,ARKANSAS:
That the We!;t Memphis Comprehensive Plan be amended to Industrial with respect to:
Beginning at the intersection of the east line of Section 8, T-6-N, R-8-E, and the north
right-cif--way
line oi'Interstate Highway 40, then southwesterly and west direction along the meanders of
the north right-of-way line of Interstate Highway 40 through Sections 7, 8, and 9,to its
intersf!ction with the west line of Section 7, T-6-N, R-8-E. Then north along said west
sectio-::i line to the northwest corner of said Section 7,then north along the west lines of
Sectic its 7 and 6, T-6-N, R-8-E to the northwest corner of Section 6,then north along the
west lines of Sections 31 and 30, T-7-N, R-8-E,to the centerline of Kuhn Road. Then in a
northeasterly direction along the centerline of Kuhn Road to its intersection with the
quarter section line of Section 30, T-7-N, R-8-E,then south along the quarter section lines
of Section 30 and 31 to the center of Section 31,then west along the south line of the
north,rest quarter of Section 31, T-7-N,R-8-E,to the northeast corner of the west half of
the sc i1thwest quarter of said Section 31,then south along the east line of the west half of
the sc 1.rthwest quarter of Section 31 to the south line of Section 31,then east along the said
south line to the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of
Section 6, T-6-N, R-8-E,then south to the northwest corner of the southeast quarter of the
north,,ast quarter,then east to the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of the northeast
quart:°r of Section 6,then south along the east line of Section 6 to the southeast corner of
Sectir::,n 6,then east along the north line of Section 8, T-6-N, R-8-E,to the north quarter
corner of Section 8,then south along the quarter section line of Section 8,to the center of
Secti:in 8,then east to the east quarter corner of Section 8. Then south along the east line of
Secti;m 8, T-6-N, R-8-E, to the intersection of the east line of Section 8, and the north
right-of-way line of Interstate Highway 40, said point being the intersection of the east line
of Sc ction 9, T-6-N, R-8-E, and the north right-of-way line of Interstate Highway 40 and
the point of beginning. This area containing 2,058 acres,more or less.
