A R1E,SOLUTION APPROVING THE SELECTION OF AN
ARC 11ITECTURAL FIRM TO PROVIDE DESIGN SERVICES
REQUIRED TO PREPARE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND BID
DOCUMENTS TO ASSIST WITH THE PROPOSED REMODELING AND
TO PROVIDE TYPICAL CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATIVE
SERVICES FOR TILDEN RODGERS PARK,AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHI:,REAS,Arkansas Code Annotated Section 19-11-801, et seq., provides the
procedure fcr the selection and negotiation of contracts for architectural services, including
professional architectural services; and
WHEREAS, competitive bidding for the procurement of professional architectural
services is prohibited; and
WHEREAS,the City of West Memphis is in need of architectural design services
required to prepare plans and specifications,to assist with typical construction administrative
services for the remodeling of the Tilden Rodgers Park; and
WHEREAS,the City Council has reviewed and evaluated the current statements of
qualifications and performance data on file, selected the required number of firms and negotiated
a contract,"ith the firm considered the best qualified and capable of performing the desired
work, that being Ladd Garey d/b/a ETFC Architects;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF`REST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,that the selection of Ladd Garey d/b/a ETFC
Architects, to provide architectural services to the City of West Memphis for architectural design
services required to prepare plans and specifications and to provide typical construction
administrative services for remodeling of the Tilden Rodgers Park is hereby approved and the
Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the necessary contracts on behalf of
the City of West Memphis for the professional services to be provided by Ladd Garey d/b/a
ETFC Architects.
