AN ORDINANCE TO CORRECT THE LAND DESCRIPTION IN
ORDINANCE NO. 620 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE
THE ALLEY EXTENDING THROUGH BLOCK 9 OF THE WHEELER
SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS; TO VACATE THE
~"" ALLEY EXTENDING THROUGH A PORTION OF BLOCK 8 OF THE
WHEELER SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS; AND
TO RETAIN A PERMANENT UTILITY EASEMENT THROUGH
BLOCKS 8 AND 9 OF THE WHEELER SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPH~; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES. "

WHEREAS, ordinance No. 620 was ~ by the City Council of the
City of West Memphis on the 18th day of December, 1969, and
WHEREAS, said ordinance has been duly published according to law,
and
WHEREAS, there appeared a typographical error in the description
of the land closing the alley mentioned in said ordinance, and it is now desired
to correct said land description,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS:
Section 1. That at the semicolon at line 22 of page 2 of said ordinance,
be corrected to read as follows: "thence Northwesterly along the South lot
lines of Lots 1 th rough 5. .. "instead of "thence Northwesterly along the South
lot lines fif Blocks 1 through 5.. . " .and that line 2 of p age 3 of said ordinance
from the semicolon be corrected to read as follows: "thence Northwesterly along
the South lot lines of Lots 1 through 5. . "instead of "thence Northwesterly
along the South lot lines of Blocks 1 through 5. . "
Section 2. All ordinance, or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. A copy of the ordinance when duly certified by the City Clerk
shall be subject to being filed and recorded in the office of the Circuit Court
Clerk and ex-officio recorder within and for Crittenden County.
Section 4. EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It is found and declared by the
City Council of the City of West Memphis th at this ordinance is correcting
the land description in Ordinance No. 620, and it is necessary for the growth
and expansion of the City of West Memphis; therefore, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
